Several months ago I was asked to salvage an old compressor set-up for a customer. After some technical advice from Eaton we decided to go with the EC50T pump head. It worked out GREAT! It was the purrrrrrfect back-up for the main compressor in this auto-body repair shop using a true 5HP motor.
A few weeks ago I was asked by the same customer to salvage 2 compressors at another one of his shops. I decided to hook up all 3 tanks that he had, a total of 300 gallons, (2) 120 gallon tanks and (1) 60 gallon tank, together with isolation valves and run one good, large, compressor head with the 6HP motor that was already there. The motor was actually stamped 5HP but with Eaton's technical support I found out that it was actually a bit more. This is one hell of a kick-butt compressor pump! In just 15 minutes with empty tanks in the morning the shop is running with 170 psi and the compressor goes off. It is one hell of a workhorse!
